Germain Bardot
Tenor
French tenor Germain Bardot entered l'Ecole Nationale de Musique de Villeurbanne in 2009, followed by the prestigious Haute École de Musique de Lausanne where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in 2016. He continued his studies at the Swiss Opera Studio at the Haute Ecole des Arts de Berne, where he obtained his Master's degree with distinction in 2018.
In 2015, he was the Prince in Marius Felix Lange's Swiss creation of Blanche Neige in Fribourg. He also performed the role of Tamino in a children's adaption called Viens rêver ta flûte enchantée in Lausanne, taken from Mozart's Die Zauberfloete. In 2017, the young tenor sang Gonzalve in Ravel's l'Heure Espagnole in Geneva. He was also engaged in the Théâtre Orchestre Bienne Soleure 2017-2018 season in Jost Meier's Marie und Robert, and in Iolanta by P. Tchaikovsky in the role of Alméric. In 2019, he played the Zweiter Priester and Erster Geharnischter in Die Zauberfloete at the Nouvel Opéra de Fribourg.
He also performs regularly in the liturgical repertoire; in 2016, he performed successively with the Fribourg Chamber Orchestra and the Capriccio Barockorchester in Fribourg in liturgical works by Joseph Rheinberger and J.-S. Bach.
